Konami Gaming, Inc. Earns ISO 27001 Certification, to include SYNKROS and Konami Online Interactive
Konami Gaming, Inc. announced successful ISO 27001 Certification for its information security management system (ISMS) supporting Konami’s SYNKROS® casino management system and Konami Online Interactive iGaming offering. The certification was performed by Schellman & Company, LLC, an ANAB and UKAS accredited Certification Body based in the United States. ISO 27001 is a globally recognized standard for the establishment and certification of an ISMS. The standard specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining, and improving a documented ISMS within the context of the organization’s overall business risks. It sets forth a risk-based approach that focuses on adequate and proportionate security controls that protect information assets and give confidence to interested parties.

ISO 27001 Certification gives Konami’s casino customers and their players an assurance that data is protected by a rigorous system of processes and controls. To achieve certification, Konami underwent a comprehensive audit to verify compliance with internationally recognized standards.

The certification process required detailed planning, strategy, research, documentation, and collaboration across numerous internal Konami teams, including human resources, systems, marketing, technical compliance, security, IT, and iGaming.

Konami Gaming’s ISO 27001 Certification is valid for three years, with annual surveillance reviews beginning in 2027.
